This program is initiated to help local farmers and agriculturists benefit from improved agricultural ideas and innovations. It’s aimed at inviting volunteers from diverse backgrounds and countries who are into agriculture or interested in improving Ghanaian agricultural sector bring their ideas, improved technologies, innovations and assistance to help local farmers. About half the Ghanaian population is involved in agricultural activities. Farming is the main occupation of the majority of Ghanaians especially those in the rural areas. Project Africa Vision believes that helping to improve farming methods and initiating rural agricultural innovation programs will help contribute to improving on the live of the rural people. One problem facing agriculture in the developing countries is the lack of technology and improved agricultural innovations. The Agricare program welcomes sustainable and innovative ideas from volunteers. Interested volunteers work with rural farmers associations, plantation and large scale farms to help improve their methods of farming and also incorporate new and innovative ways of doing things to improve yield whiles reducing cost.
